Why we are here
Eastern Star Worldwide begins with a simple belief: no single account can hold every Eastern Star experience.
For some, Eastern Star means a family tradition and lifelong friendships. For others, it is a new interest, a chapter left behind, a meaningful history, or a community they have struggled to find. This initiative creates a public starting place for all of those conversations.
Our purpose is to make different traditions easier to understand, bring attention to their public service and heritage, and help people find an appropriate organization to contact. We are building a resource that values both the connections between communities and the identities that make each distinct.
Who belongs in the conversation
Visitors, current members, former members, relatives, historians and people who are simply curious are welcome to explore. We aim to represent different races, cultures, generations, abilities and national experiences with dignity. You do not need to demonstrate chapter membership to read this website or ask a question.
Feeling overlooked or disconnected should not make someone invisible. You may tell us that you are returning after time away without explaining a private experience. We ask everyone to speak respectfully about others, including where traditions disagree.
Our independence
Eastern Star Worldwide is a new independent initiative. It is not General Grand Chapter, a Grand Chapter, a chartering authority, or a representative of the organizations listed here. It does not confer degrees, collect chapter dues, decide eligibility, recognize jurisdictions, or guarantee admission to meetings.
The names of existing organizations identify the subjects of our research. Their inclusion does not mean they have joined this initiative, approved its content, or entered into a relationship with another listed organization. Our community has its own identity and does not claim their officers, headquarters, charitable status or achievements.
Two different ways to connect. Joining this site’s mailing list keeps you in touch with our initiative. Joining an Eastern Star chapter is a separate process controlled by that chapter and its governing body.
Help shape the picture
This is a growing resource. We welcome corrections, overlooked organizations, public historical sources and suggestions for making the site more accessible. A full organization name, place, official website and explanation of its own affiliation help us review a proposed listing fairly.
Personal stories and photographs deserve care. Please obtain the permission of identifiable people before offering their stories or images for publication. We review contributions before publishing them and do not automatically post form submissions.
